Fandom Wire's Andy Signore (seemingly fully recovered after the fiasco at Screen Junkies in 2017) claims to have plot details about Shang-Chi:

Shang-Chi has a special power in this film, and because of it, he was raised in an orphanage for kids that are trained to fight. This special orphanage is run by The Mandarin. Shang-Chi eventually escapes the school/prison and begins living on the run, trying to stay out the Mandarin’s clutches his entire life. The Mandarin does eventually find the grown-up Shang-Chi again, and offers him a chance. The Mandarin promises Shang-Chi money and power, along with a promise that he’ll finally stop chasing him if he will fight in an epic and magical tournament that every kid in the orphanage has been training for their entire lives. Whoever wins this tournament gets the legendary 10 Rings, which grants even more power, which clearly The Mandarin wants. However, The Mandarin is currently too old to fight so he enlists Shang-Chi. The tournament will have new characters from all corners of the MCU that include wizards, aliens, fighters, and well known comic book characters which we don’t want to spoil. Imagine a Marvel-infused Mortal Kombat movie! In this film, Shang-Chi’s special power is the ability to clone himself while fighting. This is a slightly different approach to a power he had in his more recent comics run. While in the comics Shang-Chi can create clones of himself to do anything, in this film, Shang-Chi only projects versions of himself during fight sequences. This gives the character something special to do, but also gives the filmmakers a way to Marvel-ize fight sequences. When we asked our sources on this story, if the film has more The Raid level hand to hand sequences, or more stylized magical fighting sequences over-using this cloning effect, they informed us it has both. One cool thing that we won’t get too much into, is that the film clearly knows that Mandarin fans are still upset and confused over Iron Man 3. Without spoiling it, they do address this issue at one point. He also says Awkafina will play Fah Lo Suee.

Let's first acknowledge two things: 1) Neither Andy nor Fandom Wire are known for Marvel scoops, 2) They are the source for Silver & Black as a TV-show, something they had so much faith in they've deleted the article. With grains of salt added, let's consider the scoop. If it seems at all familiar, that's because it's very similar to a Reddit post from October (which has been lauded by Murphy and others), and one from 4chan in January. The main differences between those two posts is that the latter names some of the tournament participants and denies the cloning power idea (which Fandom Wire says is projections, not clones), and the specifics of the above are much closer to the 4chan post. What it doesn't do is mention MI-6 or the expected characters we know are coming as per:

You could argue that Andy simply forgot them, but it's hard to see how in a post that long and detailed. As it stands, we can't accept this as a scoop until there's more verification for it.

Murphy has joined the chorus in saying Ghost Rider is coming. It's difficult to express how common rumours about the character have been (I go over some of them here, but every scooper outside Roger Wardell has floated something about him). The various rumours conflict with one another over what iteration it is, the context he'll appear in, and how soon he's coming, but the cumulative weight has finally pushed me into believing that Ghost Rider is coming to the MCU.

Deadline reports that the Czech Republic (where Falcon and the Winter Soldier was being filmed) is ready for filming to resume. That doesn't mean production will begin there soon, simply that it could. Cases of covid-19 haven't stopped there, but the incident level is low, nor have they experienced a huge number of cases like the US and others.

It seems as though we've finally tracked down the source of those Nick Fury Disney+ show rumours that have been floating around (none of which, assuming this is the same project, were correct). Marvel just announced: "Fury Files gives viewers top-secret access to S.H.I.E.L.D. intel on key Marvel heroes and villains. All of this is told by none other than the mysterious Fury, bringing together a mix of animation and motion comic art!" This sounds like cheap filler to add Marvel programming to the Disney+ lineup.

Former GWWer Thomas Polito says the scripts for both She-Hulk and Moon Knight have been written and assumes this is also the case for Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye as well (a safe assumption as they are expected to film first).

Former GWW writer Vicky Depledge says:

Got confirmation that the SWORD series is in fact titled Secret Invasion and will lead into CM2 [Captain Marvel 2]. Can expect it to be one of the 3-4 new D+ series that will be announced. Likely to film sometime next year as it has been greenlit for production, but no word on that yet.

This means the IP ties two different rumours together: Secret Invasion (from Daniel/Rich Johnston) and Agents of SWORD (from LotLB, Reddit, and 4chan). I think there's a difference in what the latter set of rumours claimed (not only from each other, but in general), and it's the easier speculation given the Agents of SHIELD precedent and the Far From Home post-credit scene. If we're going to see Nick Fury in a live action show, this would be the one for him to star in.

After this came out, Murphy Tweeted the following:

Secret Invasion, Young Avengers, Ironheart...all 100% legit projects being developed. I think it's foolhardy to worry about dates at this time, but they're all legit as reported by [GWW writers].

The other two IP mentioned (YA and Ironheart) have come up before--both ideas go back to Daniel (in September and last February, respectively). In that Tweet, Murphy said it's too early for dates for those shows, directly referencing The Cinema Spot (a site I'd never heard of, but where Polito and Depledge have both wound up), where Polito said Ironheart will shoot next year.

GWW says Secret Warriors is being developed (they aren't sure if it's a show or film), about which we haven't had rumours since the Loeb-verse pilot was never picked up. They have no idea what iteration of the team it will be and, until we hear more, there's no way to know how soon the IP will come (if it is indeed coming). There was an animated version of the team (2018) that featured: Kamala Khan, America Chavez, Quake, Squirrel Girl, Patriot, and Lockjaw (two of which we know are coming to the MCU). Neither Feige or Loeb seem to have been involved in the film and I have no idea if it's a precursor to anything--it's simply food for thought.

GWW speculated Agents of SWORD will include Quake from Agents of SHIELD. Conrad picked up on this and believes it, but added a false statement in the midst of that: "I know there was some kind of “Agents of SWORD” rumor being spread around the internet, but I don’t believe that was ever the actual S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off; especially not with Quake in it." This is demonstrably false (this exact rumour was on Reddit back in January, but we can go back even further to August when LotLB also made this claim--Sutton just repeated it). Conrad repeating this idea doesn't make me believe it, and I have no idea why people persist in thinking Feige will validate anything from Jeph Loeb. I'm not saying it can't happen, but since we've seen no sign that it will, I don't buy it.

Sutton says Daredevil will go to Hulu and the character will be rebooted, but with Charlie Cox remaining in the role (as well as some of the other original actors). Daredevil would then be part of the rumoured Midnight Sons film (cf). This idea is not unique to Sutton, as others have echoed it in some fashion (LotLB, Daniel, and Conrad), but it's one whose logic none of them have really tackled (LotLB talks about the mechanics of how, but not why). Why have the same actors in the same roles, but as different iterations--what's the benefit of that? None of the goodwill from the Netflix shows will carry over because it's not the same character. The actors are also older (Colter and Bernthal will be 44, Ritter will be 39, Cox will be 38), meaning it limits the kinds of stories you can tell with them. Beyond that, Bernthal has an immensely busy schedule (with no holes until 2023); Colter is the lead in another show (Evil); while Cox is in the midst of pre-production on a film (Stripped). I don't think this will happen. That aside, here's the reserve Sutton put out:

The fact that some of these characters appeared in the Netflix show wouldn't preclude them from appearing in an MCU-iteration, but if they did, they would be very different (it also makes it less likely they would appear initially).

Sutton (link above) repeated his old rumour that Iron Fist will be rebooted onto Disney+ and follow the Brubaker/Fraction run--this is exactly what he said back in November with just one change: he did not mention he'd appear in Shang-Chi 2 (although Tim said he thought Shang-Chi would appear in the Iron Fist show). The problem with this idea, as I mentioned then, is that Shang-Chi is already doing what Brubaker's run is best known for: a big martial arts tournament, so repeating that is redundant. If they reboot Iron Fist it has to differ not just from the Netflix-version, but also from Shang-Chi or it can't possibly work. I've always felt like this rumour was wishful thinking. My guess is, if we see him again, it will be in Heroes for Hire with the more jokey, laid back iteration of the character.

LotLB (Tim specifically) had a great dissection of Conrad's Ultimatum rumour:
1) Conrad's scoop isn't from production grids (as claimed), but from an Instagram post by Shawn Sendio, who is a production manager for both Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision
2) Sendio teased the terrorist group U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M., which funnily enough Conrad himself mentioned back in February, which has no association with the Ultimatum-event
3) Echoed my point that Feige doesn't like Loeb and wouldn't promote content he created
4) The Ultimatum-event is widely considered to be terrible and thought to have been the final death blow to Marvel's Ultimate Universe

LotLB said something I hadn't heard about the Becky Lynch rumours, which is that people are saying she's She-Hulk (this isn't what they are saying, simply what they have heard). I understand the idea--she has the physicality and the red hair, but the rumour was that she was in a movie, not a show, so if the surmise is correct it means the scoop itself was poorly phrased. I also consider it highly unlikely because we know Marvel is looking for a comedic actress (an Alison Brie-type), rather than someone who can match the physicality.

Sutton claims a Spider-Man 2099 show is coming to Disney+. an idea that runs into the same problems I went over for a Silver & Black show (it also echoes an old Reddit post from October, although in that case it was a film). It's not clear from the scoop if its an animated show or live action. It's been rumoured (but not confirmed) that Marvel owns the rights to shows that are 30-minutes or less. If this is true, Sony only becomes involved if it's long enough, but Sutton calls this a joint project under Feige. The problem with this idea for me, as I went through last time, is why Sony would want to boost Disney+ when they have their own streaming service with Crackle. I can imagine Sony wanting to make a show like this, but there's no advantage in them cutting Disney in (or, to filp it around, if Disney can make it themselves, why involve Sony?). I don't buy it. Sutton also included a spec list for it: Justice, Net Prophet, Lyla, Thanatos, Proteus (the Greek god), Morlun, Blitzgeist (just one appearance), and Dr. Cronus.

A rumour I ignored in my last post, but thought I'd go over in order to dismiss it: the Ravagers shown in the Guardians 2 post-credit scene would be coming back (for a film from the source, but others suggested a show). All of this is derived from casual chitchat from Michael Rosenbaum and a vague comment from James Gunn who said that, while they are not in Guardians 3, maybe they'll come back. Beyond the problematic ages of Stallone (74), Rhames (61), and Yeoh (58), there's indications that Yeoh is getting the Gemma Chan-treatment of being recast as a different MCU character in Shang-Chi (cf). When, where, and why would this property be developed? Nothing about this makes any sense to me and I think it's just wishful thinking. Fortunately for Rosenbaum, he'd be very easy to cast in a different role if Feige wants too (given that both his appearance and voice were altered in his cameo).

Deadline reports that Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt are going to have roles in Ball & Chain, which is only interesting to me because of the persistent rumours about the latter being in Fantastic Four (cf; I think the Johnson-as-Namor rumour has finally died). Keep in mind this doesn't mean Blunt can't play Sue Storm, but if so it backs up the clock for when that could happen.

Marvel News & Notes

Three further changes have come to the MCU slate, ostensibly due to the pandemic:
2021
November Spider-Man 3 (moving from July; this is a Sony date, keep in mind)
2022
February Thor 4 (moving up exactly one week)
March Doctor Strange 2 (moving from November to make room for SM3)

What's not clear about this is how having Thor 4 and DS2 switched impacts the plot. My guess is that it doesn't, suggesting the two weren't very connected to begin with (with Thor covering the cosmic side of the MCU and DS2 the earthly).

In relation to the shifting schedule I've seen speculation that Loki will come out after Thor 4, an idea I find baffling as the show will resume production as soon as that's possible, giving it plenty of time to wrap in 2020 and then air in 2021 (if production resumes in September, I'd expect it to wrap in December or January, which is plenty of time before Thor).

Once these changes came out Murphy offered three options for 2023's slate:
1. Blade, Guardians 3, Ant-Man 3, a movie whose title he won't say
2. Blade, Guardians 3, Ant-Man 3, Fantastic Four
3. Blade, Guardians 3, the movie he won't name, Fantastic Four

What's interesting to me is the 2/3's odds for AM3, FF, and the unnamed project. One would think, given that AM3 has been announced and Michael Douglas isn't getting any younger, they'd want to push that forward (especially since the longer they delay the more aged the Young Avengers cast becomes), but he remains unsure. I'm also puzzled why he's so coy with the unnamed title.

Conrad says Marvel is building up towards an Ultimatum event, which was a Jeph Loeb crossover in 2009 that involves the X-Men, Fantastic Four, etc. Conrad doesn't mention Loeb in his article and there's good reason for that, as it's long been clear how little Feige cares for the man--I have a hard time believing he'd pay homage to him by using his story in the MCU. When Conrad was challenged about this idea, he subsequently clarified that it's via production grids he's seen. No one else has echoed this, so I'd take that with a grain of salt.

Daniel said a character had been added to the Thor 4 grid: a male 11-12 African-American or British-Black character code named 'Zappa' (described as smart, brave, mature, with a good sense of humour), who is listed as a supporting lead. Adding children is always terrifying, but it's not clear who this is meant to be. TI's Nebens has two pieces of speculation, one of which I think is plausible, and the other is not. The implausible one is that it's Kid Loki (which I think is preposterous), but the other is a reincarnated Heimdall (he doesn't include the possibility of flashbacks, but that's also possible). The characteristics would fit the latter idea. It's also possible, as Nebens' suggests, that it's a character Taika invented. Charles Villanueva, who says he saw this casting call weeks ago (keeping it to himself for reasons that are hard to fathom), wonders if he's Heimdall's son, which is also plausible.

Reddit: "Christian bale is going to play Gorr. he will be cgi and Bale do all mo-cap and voicing. i have seen some early concept arts of the character in B&W and it look really badass. Beta ray bill appear in the film. Thor's magic belt appear and Loki reprise his role from the show."

There's literally nothing here that either hasn't already been speculated or (in the case of the belt) isn't easy to insert, so I pay it no mind.

Podcaster Kris Tapley said "Psst: She's [Becky Lynch] also in a certain upcoming Marvel movie...." If he's correct, he said movie and that eliminates a Disney+ show (the first thing that came to mind is her being one of the Grapplers, rumoured to be in Falcon and the Winter Soldier). It's difficult to guess what this could be--is she just another Black Widow running around (in a gratified cameo), or does she have an actual role that might carry forward? Tapley has no track record for scoops or clickbait that I'm aware of, so grains of salt, but keep it in mind.

Conrad was pushing the idea of Daredevil in Spider-Man again, this time on social media (an idea he originally floated back in July). In the Tweet he suggests the rights to Daredevil are back early with Marvel, but doesn't source the information (nor has he repeated it on his own site and no one else has backed that idea). Because of the shifting Spider-Man 3 date, early access to the rights aren't necessary anyway. I've gone over before how ubiquitous the return of the Netflix characters has become (cf), but none have tackled the logic of why Feige would want to retain the connection to shows he doesn't own.

After this story came out, someone finally asked Charlie Cox about it and he confirmed it was not his iteration of the character if Daredevil is involved (he hadn't heard the rumours until then), he doesn't expect Marvel to continue with his version.

Sebastian Stan told THR that Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a few weeks away from wrapping filming before the pandemic shut down production.

Murphy suspended his retirement from posting articles on his site to put up a theory post where he posits that Wakandans will appear in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. His logic is: Zemo killed T'Chaka, therefore if he escaped, they would be involved; two or three of the stunt doubles for Okoye and the Dora Milaje seem to be involved with the show; ergo, Wakandans appear. It's plausible, and if the stunt doubles are truly there for those characters they might be something other than easter eggs (but that remains to be seen).

We have another 4chan post about WandaVision:

I am working on an effects team for the next Marvel WandaVision show. I don't know much about superheroes, but I'm a big fan of what I saw from this show. There are some really psychedelic pictures. I worked on several scenes focusing mainly on the formation of fractals from the surrounding area. For example, the scene where Kathryn Hahn grabs Wanda from the reality she finds herself in, and it was the Brady Bunch's pastel from the 80s, and from the real world, which is dark and chaotic. Another scene in which Kat Dennings dresses as a cleaner and Doctor Strange forces her into an astral project [projection?] so she can exit the role she was housed in. The show seems to be half sitcom, half blockbuster. The last and last scene was their living room and their kids, but everything exploded. Seeing many different versions of Vision, their children, Randall Park, Wanda yells and explodes with different dimensions and red lights. Forgive poor translate [translation]. I do not speak English and used Google to make.

While the substance isn't implausible, this idea of being an FX worker posting about the MCU has become a meme and I think that's all that's happening here.

Daniel says according to the latest She-Hulk grid, pre-pandemic Mark Ruffalo was in negotiations to appear in the show (something that isn't unexpected or surprising, but implies he hadn't signed when that grid was produced--this would match his comments a few weeks ago).

One of GWW's contributors claims someone at Marvel wants Keanu Reeves to play Moon Knight (despite turning 56 shortly). This echoes an old LotLB rumour from July. I like Keanu, and you could have a stunt double do some of the stunts, but that's not someone you cast for anything that's going to be long term.

Daniel reports that Helstrom was cancelled before it debuted, but will still air on Hulu. If true this is no surprise at all, as Feige has happily deleted everything Jeph Loeb was involved with. This almost certainly means the animated MODOK and Hit-Monkey will also be one-and-done.

Sony has finally shifted the Venom 2 release date, moving it to June, 2021, allowing Morbius to lead into it as originally planned.

There was a viral (if nonsensical) rumour about Silver & Black coming to Disney+ (which makes no sense whatsoever). The source of the idea is from the former director of the project (Gina Prince-Bythewood) who, while talking about her first film Love & Basketball, said the following to THR [Is there any hope for Silver & Black?]:

(Laughs) That’s a book! Things are the status quo on my side. I really love that project, and I do hope it can still happen in some way. It keeps going through different thoughts. First, it was going to be the two of them, and then the decision was made to separate the two. Now, there’s a thought of “Hey, maybe we put it on Disney+ as a limited series,” but I loved it more as a film with the two of them. So, my hope is that one day it can still happen.

Let's unpack this:

• Everything is status quo, which, given the Sony slate, means nothing official has happened since the film was cancelled in August, 2018. The Wikipedia page about this has issues, so let me address them as well: Matt Tolmach (one of the producers, along with Pascal) implied to Screen Rant in September (2018) that the original film was moving forward--this isn't a direct quote, and the substance is clearly inaccurate as the cancellation came from on high (nor has this idea ever been repeated or hinted at since). Secondly, Fandom Wire is used as a source to indicate the IP (as-is) would become a TV series, but that site has deleted the article (which it put out this January) and it can only be found via the archive, making it clear they don't stand by it. Finally, the Prince-Bythewood quote above is being used to confirm that a show is indeed coming, which brings us to the next point
• Reading the comment above it's clearly just her fanciful opinion, not something discussed with anyone at Sony, as there's no rational reason to put their original IP on Disney+ when Crackle would be, presumably, be the home for Sony TV shows

Unrelated, but in researching this I went through her other films and had no idea why anyone looked at that resume and thought she was a match for this IP. She worked for Jeph Loeb on Cloak & Dagger, but I doubt that would impact Feige's interest in working with her.

I've mentioned before that I find it interesting what the boys from LotLB auction off that's related to their scoops. In the most recent auction, Excalibur books were dropped (Pete Wisdom's first appearance, cf), along with Spider-Woman and Annihilus (the former goes back to October, the latter they referenced in March). This wasn't done by all the participants, but it does imply that some of them have lost faith in those scoops happening any time soon.

Deadline went over the biggest box office bombs of 2019 (whose tallies were determined by 'experts'--whatever means exactly I have no idea):

Terminator: Dark Fate: -122.6

Gemini Man: -111.1
Missing Link: -101.3

None of those appearing are surprising, but we have to again congratulate Simon Kinberg for killing the X-Men franchise a second time, and can only imagine the damage Tim Miller did to himself by pulling out of Deadpool 2 and killing off the Terminator franchise.

Updated Slate of Rumoured MCU Projects

I haven't done a comprehensive overview of rumoured MCU content since last June, but recently a Redditor made his own attempt (it cites sources, but without links), so that's prompted me to update it. In this post I'm only covering films/shows that are unconfirmed--tracking those rumours through time as best I can (I've ignored Marvel Entertainment/Jeph Loeb scoops unless they seem relevant; I've also ignored WGTC's content because it's discredited). Just as a reminder, Loeb officially lost his power in October, but the writing was on the wall long before that (corporate moves like this take time). You will see the tag "TBK" for the Lords of the Long Box--that's to clarify that the information comes from their original source rather than Mikey Sutton. Here is our cast of characters:

• Roger Wardell - a true insider (no one knows who he is)
• Daniel Richtman - long time scooper, most of whose information seems to come from various casting grids/calls put out by the studios
• Charles Murphy - formerly of MCU Exchange and That Hashtag Show; cantankerous scooper with a good track record (his sources are the information referenced for Daniel along with some conversations with agents)
• Rich Johnston (Bleeding Cool) - rarely a scooper in my experience, but with decent credibility
• Jeremy Conrad - made his hay from The Eternals scoop; doesn't seem to have the same access that Daniel does (from what I can tell he doesn't have access to casting grids)
• Discussing Film (Jacob Fisher) - mix of the usual casting information and personal connections
• GWW (Geeks Worldwide) - access to the same material as Daniel (much of their information seems to come directly from him)
• The Illuminerdi - former contributors to That Hashtag Show; not included below, because none of their scoops apply, but again, the same basic info that Daniel has
• Mikey Sutton - long time scooper; part of a group of insider comic speculators, although it's difficult to parse what kind of information he receives
• Lords of the Long Box ("the Black Knight") - their original source is also part of the speculator group, but his information seems more consistent in terms of where it comes from--it seems like he's aware of what the MCU is researching (comics/characters)
• Cosmic Book News (Matt McGloin) - I'm not familiar with him, but he comes across as a little unhinged and in the sampling I've seen does not source his info
• HN Entertainment (Christopher Marc) - I'm not really familiar with him or his site
• Reddit/4chan - they know a guy who knows a guy--occasionally that's actually true
• Fake Roger Wardell - an account that pretends to be the real deal (included for tracking purposes)

Quite a few of these illustrious people have had their content banned on the Marvel's Spoiler Reddit, as they've been deemed too unreliable (or for persistent self-advertisement). Below I've listed projects in approximate chronological order of rumours. Official sources or information are highlighted in blue; those bits of information that have already been debunked or are not moving forward are in red.

Captain Britain

(July, 2017) Kevin Feige said: "We have discussed it [Captain Britain in the MCU]. There are a lot of actors that come in and ask about that part, so we’ll have to see."
(April, 2019) "Braddock" is named in Endgame during the 1970 flashback
(August, 2019) It was revealed that there were early plans to include the character in Far From Home, but they were scrapped early
(August, 2019) LotLB (TBK) said he's coming--in the clip they said they predicted this two months earlier, but if so I either missed it or it pre-dates when I started paying attention (so in May)

The name drop in Endgame is a clear signal that the MCU wants to do something with the character, but it's not at all clear what that is at this stage. A solo venture for the British hero seems less likely, unless it's a show, so being part of a team makes the most sense (and Excalibur is quite distinct as an IP, but I can't imagine it predating the X-Men). I wonder if Feige will embrace Betsy Braddock in the role, allowing for Revanche/Kwannon to have a separate role in the MCU (thus having a truely Asian character rather than the bizarre mishmash Claremont saddled comics with for decades).

Namor

(November, 2018) When asked about the character Kevin Feige says they are figuring out "if and when"
(March, 2019) Scott Derrickson Tweets out an image that includes Namor that he promptly deletes (at this stage no script was written and we learned later his version of the film was never written)
(April, 2019) Murphy reported an uncertain rumour that Marvel had worked out the details of a solo film and had been scouting locations for months (he later learned this scouting was for Shang-Chi)

The usually reliable Murphy has stumbled a couple of times with Namor scoops due to his exuberance for the character. I don't believe Conrad's claim that the rights are back at Marvel--or, rather, his word isn't enough for me to believe it (I go through all the things we know about those rights via his link above). I think the character is coming and will initially be an antagonist, but I believe we'll see a younger actor in the role (40 at the oldest). Black Panther 2 is a much more likely place for him to be introduced, rather than Doctor Strange 2 (the latter is busy enough as it is, and there's no sign of Namor in the casting grids for that film yet either). It is worth noting that by not using Namor, Marvel makes Universal hanging onto his rights less and less worthwhile, although Comcast might be willing to simply spite Disney and never relinquish them anyway (if they have that option).

Black Knight

If it seems odd to include a character that's debuting in The Eternals, keep in mind we're looking at speculation for his own film. I don't expect he'll get a solo vehicle--he's not the kind of character I think can carry that burden. Instead, like in the comics, I think he'll be a member of a team (albeit, not The Eternals, which I think is one-and-done)--the Avengers is the simplest answer, but I think the MCU wants to branch out and avoid having that be a grab-all for non-mutant characters.

With the shifted Marvel slate I think any hope for a 2022 film died (assuming there was any reason to hope to begin with). The following year is definitely an option. I don't know that the FF need an introduction in another film, although it would certainly help Ant-Man 3 if they did (I don't buy that theory yet). I don't think Peyton Reed will direct the film--he's piloted the two least successful films in Phase Two and Three (with the second worse than the first) and, however much Feige may like him, he's not getting the keys to an A-grade IP after that. The above includes a lot of different ideas, but I don't think we know enough to lean one way or another.

X-Men

How he's received will impact whether he gets his own film, I believe.

A-Force

I've always found this idea puzzling--are the men all on vacation? In a comic you can have some fun with the idea and not worry about the logic of it, but on screen I don't know how far an all-female team takes you in this context. This glut of rumours covers nearly all the scoopers, but most suffer from the same problem: Feige doesn't want to acknowledge or include the Loeb-verse IP, so he won't (I don't think this is debatable at this point--all the evidence points to it). I don't buy any of the rumours that suggest continuity. Rebooting them makes perfect sense, and almost certainly Daredevil is the priority in that respect (given Disney's branding, I think it's unlikely we'll ever see the Punisher). I also want to specifically address Sutton's Iron Fist show: how could you do the Immortal Iron Fist version of the character when Shang-Chi is doing the exact same shtick ahead of you? The only way forward for Iron Fist, I believe, is his original Heroes for Hire persona and role (something that will contrast with what's being done with Shang-Chi).

X-Factor

This is a weird one for me, as I don't see this happening under any circumstance (the decision to boot Loeb would have been made around the time the Fox rights were coming back, so transferring any of that IP to the Marvel Entertainment seems impossible). I happen to like David's X-Factor, but (again) think mutant teams are on hold until the X-Men have appeared.

Agents of SWORD

I'm glad Feige cancelled this, as ABC would have made something mediocre and boring with what is (potentially) an interesting character.

Gambit

(August, 2019) Sutton Feige will take the Fox plans and turn it into a Disney+ show
(February, 2020) LotLB (TBK) says a show is coming to Disney+, saying it won't have Rogue and offering a reserve list

The Sutton idea is preposterous (thus far we've yet to see Feige use any idea from creative teams outside of Marvel Studios); the latter is plausible, although I don't know what the rush to put Gambit on screen would be.

New Mutants

(August, 2019) LotLB (TBK) says a show is coming (Hulu here, but changed to Disney+ shortly afterwards)

I didn't buy this at the time since Disney was stuck with Fox's moribund New Mutants--this is an IP that requires the X-Men already established to appear, so I think it's a long way off.

Miss America/America Chavez

(August, 2019) GWW says a series is in the early stages of development (this is via Daniel, who posted it on his Patreon the day before)
(January, 2020) GWW repeated the idea (echoed by Daniel), saying it will be the first series after those already announced

I think it's more likely that America Chavez will be part of a team-based show--unlike Kamala Khan (or Kate Bishop), she's barely a blip in fan imagination.

Doctor Doom

(September, 2019) Conrad says one of the options being considered for the character is a show, which he pulled directly from Daniel's Patreon

This is easy speculation to make--we need more than that to take it seriously.

Ghost Rider

(September, 2019) LotLB (TBK) Marvel will use the character, but not give him his own show (this goes against their earlier speculation, but all of that was connected to the Loeb-verse)
(October, 2019) Reddit says it will be the Robbie Reyes version, with continuity from Agents of SHIELD and he'll get his own Disney+ series before appearing in a Midnight Sons team-up movie
(December, 2019) Reddit may get his own series after cameoing in Doctor Strange 2, but probably recast as the MCU wants the character to be young

There's a lot more speculation about the character appearing in other IP (or as part of a team), so the above purely reflects purported scoops about his own show. I absolutely think the character will be rebooted and appear in some context, but I don't think there's any rush to get him into the MCU.

Man-Thing

A fascinating character to use, although I wonder if the character can really support its own show (the one-and-done Swamp Thing isn't a good omen).

Hercules

This wouldn't surprise me, but we'll definitely need more information before we can really dig into it. I think LotLB's idea of him appearing in Thor 4 (or, really, any other film) is more likely than him jumping out into his own series at the start.

Secret Invasion

(October, 2019) Daniel says Secret Invasion (and Annihilation) are the next big MCU events
(January, 2020) Rich Johnston says a Secret Invasion show is coming, intended to tie into Captain Marvel 2

I think this is plausible and it would make sense to have a show leading into Captain Marvel 2.

Ironheart

There is no scenario where Ironheart starts with her own film. A character that, despite being pushed heavily since she debuted four years ago, has no real traction in the comics. This is an IP the MCU will have to build-up to maybe get a series someday.

Brother Voodoo

(December, 2019) Sutton says it will spin off Doctor Strange 2, feature a rebooted Cloak & Dagger, and spin off a Clea show

Having other IP appearing within the show makes a lot of sense, although I can't imagine Feige is in a rush to redo Cloak & Dagger. I prefer LotLB's idea above (Strange Tales), although as I said there, supernatural shows can be very successful on TV.

Clea

(December, 2019) Sutton says it will spin off a Brother Voodoo show and feature Umar as the villain

Everything I said about Brother Voodoo applies here, although I don't think you could cannibalize Doctor Strange IP to this extent and succeed--better to pair the two (assuming, of course, that they are successfully received when they appear).

Unknown A-List Series

(January, 2020) Rich Johnston says a show featuring an A-list character is being developed (someone closer to Loki than Vision in prominence)
(April, 2020) Mark Ruffalo says he's talked about a Hulk TV show with Feige

For me the only options that could fit this are Hulk, Nick Fury, and War Machine, with me leaning towards the Hulk as having the actual cache to make it work.

Midnight Sons

(January, 2020) Sutton says Blade will lead into Midnight Sons, with Blade, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze), Man-Thing, and Helstrom

There's a Hulu antecedent to this, as back in April Deadline reported that Loeb wanted his shows to lead up to a Spirits of Vengeance team-up. If the above speculation is correct, is seems like the unexpected addition of Blade to the MCU is making for a somewhat similar plan here. This isn't so much Feige stealing Loeb's idea, and more the logical place to take a character like Blade. While none of the above represents proof of concept, the idea seems plausible given what's coming in the future.

Agents of Atlas

(February, 2020) GWW says a show or film is being set-up by Shang-Chi

A possibility, although it requires Shang-Chi to be a hit in order to drum up interest in an otherwise unknown IP. It would help explain the gigantic cast that's supposedly appearing in the film.

Squadron Supreme

(March, 2020) Daniel says it's in development

This would be a fascinating project to see come to fruition--Marvel's faux-Justice League on screen.

Starjammers

(March, 2020) Reddit says a show or film is in development

I think this is completely made-up, although I would enjoy seeing the characters appear. Unlike the various mutant teams they could appear before the X-Men are formed without impacting their entrance into the MCU.

To summarize: what we have is a mix of speculation, rumour, and scoops of varying value. I suspect a good number of these projects have been discussed at Marvel (Studios or Entertainment)--some may have gone as far as having spec scripts produced or had talks with various creative people, but most (as is) will never see the light of day. Regardless, this is as comprehensive as I could make it. If I've missed any other prominent rumours (or made any errors), let me know and I'll add/fix them.
